Trip Overview
Sikkim, Darjeeling tour a marvelous short trek to the foot of Kanchenjunga – the world’s 0.33 best possible peak. With valleys ranging from solely a few hundred metres above sea stage to some of the very best peaks of the Himalaya, the tiny country of Sikkim offers noticeably varied scenery. This trek passes via thick forested valleys and tea estates right thru to mountainous areas positioned underneath Kanchenjunga (8598m). From our excessive base camp near Lake Samiti there will be ample time to discover the surrounding glaciers and ascend the 4940m Goecha La for splendid views of the immense ice cliffs of Kanchenjunga’s south-east face. After the trek there will be time for you to discover the hill station and surrounding areas of Darjeeling, the most spectacular of all the Indian hillstations, set amongst tea plantations and linked to the plains under by way of a well-known Toy Train.
