Overview

The Ultimate Everest Trek must be the Everest High Passes. Beginning from the popular Khumbu Valley, the Sherpa’s home, we acclimatize before following the trail to Dingboche where many of the great Everest climbers pass through. We’re going to start our first summit here, Nangkartshang Peak. We ascend Chukkung Ri higher up the valley for spectacular views of some of the world’s largest peaks. Our first pass is the Kongma La, with amazing close-up views of Nuptse, which takes us to Lobuche, from where we have the opportunity to climb Kala Pattar to the classic view of Everest’s south face. We cross the Cho La Pass from here and reach the quieter Valley of Gokyo. Here we are surrounded by spectacular glacial lakes and Gokyo Ri’s climb offers stunning panoramic views. Our last pass is the Renzo La which takes us back to Lukla back into the Thame Valley and the last leg of this circular trek. This is certainly not recommended to novices with most of the walking above 3600 m, but it will cater to those who are fit and have been trekking at altitude before.
